Hunt for a detachable seat stay

Postby cyc715t » Thu Jan 24, 2013 8:20 pm

Hi, how are everyone going with this heat - if you are in Melbourne? haha

I'm just wondering if anyone knows where to find a detachable seat stay for a vintage 'grandma' bike please - the type that bolts on?

eg like the seat stay that is bolted onto the frame in this pic:

Thanks, have a nice night.

Hi, how are you? Thanks for that. :)

I'll double check tomorrow when it is light but from memory it is about 50cm long.. is that quite common please?

Thanks for that.

I just took another measure of it - I think the length of the whole stay is 50cm and from centre of bolt hole to centre of bolt hole is a bit shorter... about 48-49cm if that makes sense?

Hi, how are you?

Thanks for that. It might work. I suppose the only way to tell is to try and attach it right?

Thanks, I appreciate that. Please let me know how you go with the other ones that you have if that is ok.

Would you like to do a trade for your seat stay with some of my parts? I'm not sure what I have that might appeal to you. :P

Thanks again, look forward to your reply. Have a good Oz Day!

Does anyone in Melbourne have a spare one by any chance please? :) Thanks. I'll trade you for something of mine please.
