This morning, one of my plastic GoPro extension mounts snapped. It was attached to my GoPro HD Hero 1 camera in housing with skeleton door.
It has my name (Shaun) written on it with my mobile number.
In the root directory of the SD card I have my postal details in a file called "Owners Details.txt".
I'm hoping someone picked it up as I drove the route and couldn't see it.
Please let me now if you see it or hear about someone finding a GoPro in the area mentioned.
Thanks for your time.
Shaun.

I'll be riding down that way later today, so if you can pm me some route details i'll keep an eye out for it. Good luck with recovering it.

Thanks guys. It has been found. The person handed it to the police who contacted me through the mobile number I wrote on the casing.
I appreciate your offers. I was about to PM you the Strava route just as the police telephoned me

Great to hear some honest soul handed it in - i just ended up doing a big loop from the Wynnum Rd/Manly Rd intersection out to the bayside along Wynnum Rd, then along the esplanade to Lota and up to Manly Rd to home again, which is roughly 24km. Left phone at home so not logged on strava Oh well, i needed the exercise!

I was pretty stunned when I received the call. I am incredibly lucky the finder is as honest and as helpful as he was.
It dropped off on the Tingal Rd Glenora St roundabout so I'm amazed it wasn't squashed. Although the footage shows three cars hitting it with their tires as it skittles from the middle of the road toward the gutter.
