bike wash

Anyone know of somewhere I can wash my bike in the ACT? I live in a damned apartment and there are no facilities provided to wash anything anywhere. I normally take my bike to a mates place but it's getting a bit old. I tried a self-serve carwash once but it's expensive and less than ideal. Is there a public car wash area in the ACT?

Are you seriously saying there are no ground floor hose taps at all, sounds like its a vertical into the shower...
There are some automotive dry wash products but I have never tried them.

Are you talking about a muddy MTB? I live in an apartment. Keeping road bikes clean only takes a few minutes with a Chux and Spray'N'Wipe, or a bucket and sponge if they get really dirty.

Was a dusty MTB, road bike I wipe down after every ride. Dusty MTBs are problematic because they need a serious hose down!

And yes there are no outside taps I have found in this !! BAN ME NOW FOR SWEARING !! apartment complex. New modern thing with a pool etc etc but no useful handy facilities to help people be independent humans. Thank goodness we move out in a month!

I think it is worth getting some of the waterless car stuff...

If I am just doing a general clean of the bike I use this stuff. Between this and Kero there isn't much I can't clean and the bike comes up pretty good.

Cleaning the bikes was a massive source of frustration for me when I was living in an apartment, unfortunately I never figured out a solution that satisfied me completely. Now I have a house and cleaning the bikes is much easier, especially the mountain bikes!
