Merida, like Giant offer excellent value for money bicycles in a wide range with plenty of options.

I have a friend who has put 12,000km+ on a Sram Force groupset so Sram force can last a long time if it's cleaned and maintained regularly.

This model offers base wheels but compact cranks and a wide ranging gear cluster which will assist with hills and flats and all in between.

Black and fluro green is an eye catching colour scheme wether you like it or not it's def. noticable (I like it - reminds me of fast Kawasaki motorcycles...... :D )

If you can get a test ride and you like the way it rides and attain a proper fit up as well as a competitive price to match then I see plenty of value for money without looking cheap.

Having a close look at the frame and components and the sale price of $1700.00 this looks like a great deal and SRAM Force seems to be a well made grouppo.

Like and group set if you keep it clean and lubricated it will run well.
