Just completed my latest project, and I'd like any suggestions as to who you think might have made it. I saw a someone's post of a bike with a similar fork bridge and that was a Keith Davis/ Pegasus .
Its serial number is 91025 , so a 1991 model maybe? It has mostly Shimano 600 ( 6401 ) running gear, Reynolds 531 Competition tubing and Columbus dropouts.
Its come up a treat and when I get a new chain ( one hell of an oversight!) cant wait to take it out of a spin.
So , suggestions please!
Who made this ?

A lot of the features (fork, hidden rear brake cable, little nub fitting on the head tube) look like my Elan (see the Europa/elan/abeni thread) but the seat stays are finished differently.
Possibly a Paino? If I saw it with Paino or cycles ultima decals on it I wouldn't question it.

Hi, some close up pics of the lugs and bb etc will help. The current pics don't give enough detail to have a good chance at an I.d.

Arrrrrrrgh !!!
I saw the identical frame on a posting a week ago but I cant recal the subject line !
It may have been one of the regulars just describing his build thread...it was a gun metal grey frame and had pink highlites, meh, its killing me. Sorry for my memory loss

Possibly "Jim Bundy" or "Peter Bundy"

Hey Burto,
According to THIS thread from 2008 you may have a Cecil Walker with a 1991 build date. If this is the case, Cecil Walker frames were built during that time,
by either George McDonald or Kevin Wigham of Paconi Race Frames.
My Guess is that its a Kev Wigham frame.
Cheers

Fork crown shape and top tube cable routing is identical to my 1994 Cecil Walker. As are the tops of the seat stays.
Lugs are different, as are the bottom bracket cable guides.
Cotterpin may be correct.

I have a 1982 Jim Bundy Tandem and it has identical lugs with the little triangle. I haven't scene a Cecil Walker so do not know what lugs they used. The forks look the same and of course Jim Bundy used Reynolds 531 tube. Now I will have a look for a serial number but I know mine is 1982 as I got it off the guy who had it built in 1982.
Incidently only owned it a day.

Hi, I have a Keith Davis 531 ST/Pegasus frame which I bought new in 1988 in the ACT.
the serial number is engraved transversely, the fork saddle is also different but the other lugs look the same.
This is the third time I have repainted it and rebuilt it; Its a wonderfully comfortable bike, if a little heavy.
cheers Chris Holmwood
