2014 BUPA Challenge Tour (Santos Tour Down Under)

Postby RideLikeTheWind » Sat Jan 26, 2013 7:52 pm

Is anyone in the Penrith area keen on training for this ride next year? I was thinking of having a crack...

I usually ride with the Nepean Cranky's this year on weekends, so I'll see if they are interested in joining in.

I'll post this in the NSW section too.

Mate spend you money on entering Amy Gillette Grand Fondo. The Buda is a poorly organised ride with a lot of dangerous riders.

Plus you can just ride the stage, or any other, without spending a cent

Do the Bupa ride once, collect the shirt, and tick it off the bucket list.

Then do the Amy Gillett Gran Fondo.

Yeah - I was thinking that... The consideration is costs, especially as you need to register with Cycling Australia and get a license for these events (well, most of them anyway from what I understand).

I would like to do some of the more local ones too, but I was thinking:

Tour de Hills (2014)
Loop the lake (Lake Macquarie) (2013)
Amy Gillette Grand Fondo (2014)
Bupa Challenge (Santos) Tour (2014, now)
Three Peaks Tour (2014)

First thing to do, though, is generate the $ for a nice carbon bike :)
