Bikebug have got serious about their online business, I've priced them up against the Wiggles (no, not those Wiggles :) ) and Ribbles and they stack up really well, plus I got sme great customer service from them with a recent swap (wrong size bought) so I reckon we should be supporting local (they operate a LBS).

I have nothing to do with them btw

Bought a few things from them...a Campy BB was cheaper than the UK stores. I recommend them!

You must have found the only part which was more expensive overseas. I looked at an Ultegra 6701 chain and it is $45.36 at bikebug but $26.24 at Wiggle.

Have been using bikebug for a while. They offer a great service as well as competitive pricing. Generally next day delivery for me which can be sometimes required if I need almost instant gratification!

Ha! Delivered in a week my foot! In the 20 or so orders from DX, I think I've had ONE arrive in a week. Most take 3 or 4 weeks.

Some items are now listed as "AU Direct" and supposedly come via Toll Express or something. You should read up first.

But not the item you linked. Maybe you should check things like that first?

Yes
Item is Temporarily Sold Out.
But it's instock if you click international. They do that a lot DX to look like they stock stuff in Aust. when they don't.

We're one of their emerging markets, unfortunately they haven't got their act together yet.

Hi,

It was my mistake to post that link, sorry about.

I would like to say something about the DX AU Direct site if possible though: The main reason this item is out of stock is because the Chinese new year is coming up in February and many suppliers are out of reach at this particular time. After the Chinese New year things will be back to normal regarding stock especially for the AU market. DX have actually hand picked around 4000 items to be featured on AU direct just for Australia. These products, in the most part are all either in stock (in HK) or obtainable within a day from the supplier and are sent and delivered to most Australian States within the 5-7 working days offered using TOLL express service. If the item says in stock on the AU Site, then it will be delivered in 5-7 working days. And DX do also have a warehouse in Sydney, though it is in the process of being shut down after joining with TOLL, and being able to offer a 5-7 day delivery service.

Unfortunately, DX's reputation has been marred by slow delivery and other issues, though with Australia, they are trying to implement a better service all round.

:)

Where did you see this?

On their website it still states:
FREE DELIVERY to Australia on orders over AUD$100, excludes Bicycles

Just put in my first order with CE (a $5 bell, ding ding!) and the free delivery did apply once you key in the address.

Now just the small matter of actually gettin the good...

I ordered some parts on Jan 13th from BB after ringing to check they were actually in stock (was told they were) but order was not dispatched until 10 days later (23rd Jan) and then only received yesterday 30th Jan. Don't think I'll bother using them again.

Boca Bearings in the US currently have a 15% discount during February.
If you need a bearing upgrade, this is a chance to get a deal, code: 15springb
