I don't know anything about the bike brands, but you can narrow the Shimano components down to a month and year (assuming they are post-1976). Just google 'dating shimano components' and you'll find a couple of sites that explain the date stamps. This will give you a closer guide on the bike's date of manufacture.

+1 - the best (only?) chance you have of accurately dating a peugeot within reason is by the components, and even then you need to know for certain they are the originals.Hamster wrote:Based on the serial number the Peugeot is a 1988, however because Peugeot's are French and the French being ....
