First for the year.
A piece of glass from a king brown in the back tyre.
Close to home thankfully so made it back,
Bah.

2 more for the year = 4.

Slow leak that I couldn't identify that would leave the tyre flat after 2 days. Ended up replacing the tube with a brand newie and got a flat next ride (this morning).

I'm hoping I just started strongly this year and will peter out (much like my sprint  ). Time will tell.

Two black cats for me on Sunday. The first put a 5mm cut in my rear tyre. The second happened 2 hours later and also in the rear tyre. Lucky I always carry 2 spare tubes.

With a full year of commuting ahead, I'll register. Aim is to have fewer punctures than magpie injuries ;)

Got my first flat on the front on the 27th. On the plus side the tube made it over 8000km before it gave up.

23/1/2013 first flat for the 2013 on commute in to work and it was a slow leaker on the front tyre and was from an indeterminate source. I just barely found the puncture in the tube by feeling for the air leaking it was that tiny. Nothing left in tyre so no idea what caused it. I've had about a dozen flats on the roadbike, but they were all on the rear tyre, so flatting the front is a first. Might have something to do with the rubbish Continental UltraSport tyre that i'm using, which are absolutely useless for puncture protection. Rear conti tyre was binned late 2012 after only 700km after the tread separated and bulged. Ordered a new set of Maxxis Refuse on monday from cellbikes so i can stop churning through tubes for a while.

Must say I hav'nt had the best run out of mine either. Always the rear tyre to. I just replaced the rear after 2 months use because the cuts in it were so deep and the sidewall had a gash in it. I will probably go back to Rubinos as I seemed to get a fair run out of them on the Trek.

1st one for the year, big ass chunk of green glass speared my front tyre 50 meters from the office this morning, at least I can fix it in air cond comfort.

Replaced the rear last night, down to the carcass after about 2000km. Only one puncture! Panaracer Race Type D.

I am registering for the first time...

1 for me.

A few weeks ago now. Got up in the morning, checked the tyres, the rear had deflated to about 80psi overnight... Weird, I thought. Pumped it back up & took off. Made it all the way to work, no dramas. (not that I noticed anyway). Got the bike for the ride home & hadn't given the leak a second thought... Checked the rear & it was completely flat. No idea where the puncture came from, repaired it & also now have new tyres as the old ones were rather thin.

Touch wood none yet, the atrocious weather of the past few days seems to have washed a lot of glass off the road?

Me and my big mouth. :(

+1, 3. Piece of glass from the look of the hole in the rear tyre, must have been close to home because I rolled into the driveway before realising something was wrong. I blame the damp roads from earlier rain plus excessive amounts of glass, I'm finding a new patch every day or two at the moment, and they seem to be deliberately targeting the on-road cycle lanes.

I'll put myself in again, was a bit slack last year as I forgot to put down my one Puncture for the year.
Aiming for no punctures for 2013. :)

+1 = 5.

Got back to my bike yesterday after work and the front was flat. Made me late for an appt, which was annoying.

Found a pin hole in the tube. No idea what caused it.

No punctures for me but this morning an actual black cat ran across the road right in front of me. Does that count?

Luckily I am not the superstitious type.

+1 for me. Total 2.
Was doing some stretching & looked at the bike.. Another slow leak flat on the rear & with the new Gatorskins on... Found the culprit, a thin, long piece of wire. Who knows where or when I picked that up.
On the positive side, my times for replacing the inner tube are dropping.

These long thin pieces of wire are from worn out radial car tyres!

Getting seriously sick of this already! Had a 1cm slice taken out of the tyre on the way to work yesterday. Turns out a tiny nick went all the way through. Went for a ride at lunch and the tyre was down to 50psi, so swapped the tube yet again and patched up the old one. I pushed a patch in between the tyre and tube to provide a smidge more protection should something hit that spot but I think the tyre might be gone. Bikebug.com.au have GP4000s for $36.35 until Sunday so I've grabbed a couple of spares. I ordered today and they've already been dispatched 8)

OK, time for someone else to take the lead in this 'comp'...

Far out! That's an expensive puncture! I don't imagine you could repair that sort of thing...

Nope.. On the plus side, the bladed DA spokes sell for a bit even when they're used ones!
