Bugger, we pulled the pin on Coottha this morning because of the rain That gives me 658 miles/1058 k's for January, given that I lost out on two weekends of riding I'm pretty happy with that....I more than doubled my 2012 total
Congrats! I managed to get my 800 mile badge this morning. My goal for this year was 8000 kms. Achieving the 800mile badge means I could exceed it easily. I'm not sure I'll keep up the large number of kms per day from now on though.

Had two 600km weeks in Jan last year and only one this year. Compared kms from year to year expecting to be down 100kms this year.
2012: 2110.6 2013: 2111.8
Woot. Happy with that. It took some juggling with family commitments, but I got there. Biggest month to date.
Final count 1312 miles.

Was going to race tonight which I figured would give me my 500 miles for the month, even after having nearly a week off due to saddle sores, well race got cancelled but the coach had me do a windtrainer set to replace racing, finished the set, downloaded to strava.......... 499.1 miles I was going to get back on the windtrainer and do the extra distance to get my 500 miles, the wife was calling me all sorts of weird names, when I checked my Garmin data I had actually done 823 klms for the month, so I found a race warm up lap and loaded that to strava... 502 miles my wife says I need help one of the around the bay in a day rides was advertised as 100 klms, by the time I got back to the car I had only done something like 98, so I rode around the block until the 100 ticked over.......... maybe I do have a problem ??????

very good company. when i got home after the brissy to gold coast last year (after all the stupid train delays), I'd done 150kms. A friend suggested I should have done another 10 to make it an imperial century just over 1000kms for the month. that's OK for me. Not bad considering am coming back from injury.

Was going to be 2km short from 1000km for the month after my commute home, so added 3km to the commute (the extra one was to make sure I didn't have to go back out after getting home...). A record month for me.

Too right you can't complain! Makes your year target look like a joke! Nice work.
Well done Brett, big effort. I managed 711 miles, or 1142km, definitely my biggest ever month, but hard to back up in the short month of Feb.

Well I will also say it has been my biggest month ever
1894 k = 1177 miles = 455th place out of 36407
not too bad I reckon
Well done to everyone who simply rode and got badges of whatever distance
PS. I think I am in the same boat..my Fiancee thinks I am crazy with what I do sometimes to just get that extra k or two

I didn't officially join up to the Strava Base Mile Blast but unofficially racked up 2014km for January.

Fell short of the 1,000 miles - managed 967. Blaming 3 days off with sore knee and bit of bad weather.
To be honest I slept in a few times - if I made those 2 or 3 rides I would of gone over the 1,000 miles.
Next time Gadget.

Nice work Ross. I am surprised we didn't run into each other more regularly.

Great work everyone, there are some impressive totals for sure, good start to the year...now to maintain it!
February started with a wet ride in Brisbane, hope that it's not indicative of the weather for the month, a miserable ride for the most part.

Congratulations to all the ACF club members, some awesome efforts by all all of you. I'm a 62 year old who had had rarely ridden in over 15 years. Got back on the bike around Christmas to try and keep up with my 9 year old Grandson, that didn't work out lol, in fact day one and 10k left me feeling shattered. However coincidentally I discovered Strava just before the new year and decided the challenge was a great motivational tool. Oncw I got started and had a look around i decided to try and stay in the top 50 of the ACF club but soon dropped to around 90, kept riding and upped the mileage and frequency and got to around 40th place, then the big wet set in here on the Gold Coast and I couldn't ride for four days and watched my name drop down the list to around 60. Tried to ride on the 30th but the wind was so strong I was being pushed across the road into the traffic, still managed 30k before sanity prevailed and I went home. The 31st was a good day, light wind and cool so I set off to try and do 60k, felt good and kept going until 100k was within reach, managed to get there (102.3k) I am stoked with reaching that milestone, after so long off the bike I never thought I would reach anywhere near that. Finished up in ACF club position 48 with 600 miles, overall 6502, gotta be happy with that Now I have the base down I aim to back off the mileage and attempt to get the speed up and somehow get some climbing ability into the legs, climbs are killing me plus I was never much of a climber back in the day to start with lol. Hopefully I can push on until the next January challenge where my goal will be 2500k. Thanks to everyone here, you don't realise it but you people have been my inspiration, I couldn't have done any of this without you.
