Re: Bike GalleryAlready a few years old but still simply fantastic!
Re: Bike Gallery
Still something about a simple decal'd white bike that looks great.
Re: Bike Gallery
til you ride it in the rain, a lot
Re: Bike GalleryI used to have an all white bike, never was a big problem, white is good for knowing when it's really clean or not so...
Re: Bike Gallery
What bike did you replace it with ? ?
Re: Bike Gallery
What happened? I hope you didn't jinx it by getting it's portrait taken by a professional!
Re: Bike Gallery![]() Picked this up a week ago. Had some issues with the bike shop when I wanted to change the 36 tooth chainring to a 34 they phoned me to tell me the chainrings were non replaceable, I didn't have any issues doing it myself, either they lied to me or they don't know what they are doing, either way I'll never shop there again. They also wanted to charge me $155 to change to an 11-28 cassette as they said they could only get their hands on an Ultegra one, I'll build the next bike myself, as I did the bike before this one.
Re: Bike Gallery
Great looking CX bike. My mate was keen to get one but they only go up to 57cm frame size and he needs a 60cm. Giant Reign 1 Merida CX4 Trek Superfly Al Trek Earl
Re: Bike Gallery
You've done a great job - that's one awesome (and tough looking) CX'er. I love the blue highlights - well done. Do the CUBEs come with dual bottle bottle mounts, or did you add on those on the downtube? I only ask as the BMC I have has only one set of mounts (on seat tube), which is apparently a more traditional approach, and as a result of CX riders having to constantly sling the bike over their shoulder. Personally, I reckon two sets of mounts is a more sensible idea...
Re: Bike GalleryThat's boss. Cube make a lot of great looking bikes.

You should see the 2013 product catalogue. It's a massive hard cover book. Giant Reign 1 Merida CX4 Trek Superfly Al Trek Earl
Re: Bike GalleryMy new bike! I had been riding fixed gear and an old 1984 Christoff roadie which got me hooked on longer distance riding than the 10 or so km rides I had been doing. Unfortunately I found a crack in the seat tube so I got this for a great deal, rides like butter and am very happy. Sorry, it's not full carbon or Dura Ace equipped. Tiagra groupset, alloy frame, carbon fork.

Meh, if she blows your hair back then she's the greatest little scoot in your universe. What happens in other universes is yet to be determined by science ...whatever the road rules, self-preservation is the absolute priority for a cyclist when mixing it with motorised traffic.

Re: Bike Gallery
The Cubes come with two bottle cage mounts, its a 59cm size though the way they size them it is more like a 54cm, being a cross bike you usually size them a little smaller and this seems favourable in comparison to my 56cm Trek road bike. I do find it a little twitchy and need to fine tune tire pressures for on/off road, currently running 65psi, think I'll drop it to 50 and put 40mm tyres on next change, there is tonnes of room for larger tyres, should reduce some of the twitchiness. The Shimano CX70 brakes are great, I've been riding some off road 35% descents and had no issues with the brakes, only the tyres feel a little sketchy in this situation. The bike is solid and stiff as with a massive square down tube and a huge headtube, it doesn't shake you up too much either. It also doesn't have this BB30 nonsense (personal opinion only). I think I'll be changing the cassette to an 11-36, with a derailler change also as the terrain I've been riding it on consists of 30% degree plus gravel ascents and you really need to be be seated with a low gear for these.

Drool worthy build - It looks hot. The down tube reminds me of the Bianchi Oltre. Grats on the set up! Hope it gives you many good km's!
