condition: Good Used Condition. Up for grabs today is my Viner 'Super Professional'. I have had this bike for 7 months and was a project bike which turned into my daily ride whilst I have been injured. I have the slow burner cyclocross build about to boil over and need to move one out to fit the new one in. This bike had seen better days when I got hold of it. It had been sitting for a number of years. Without taking to much away from its original form I changed out what needed to be done. Removed and degreased the groupset. I swapped out the tubular Galli wheelset for a clincher Malliard wheelset. Galli hubs were produced by Malliard back in the day, so this was a fitting swap. The jockey wheels were replaced and newer sealed models installed. The bottom bracket was a little rough when I pulled it apart. It was degreased, regreased and put back together. You can run loose ball bottom brackets into the ground, I wasn't to fussed reusing the original. It runs fine. The chain of course was replaced with a new Izumi. New cables were run for both gears and brakes.
Once I finished with this build I can honestly say I was blown away with the shifting. It friction, it works and I love it. It doesn't run noisey, its not rough as guts when you change through the gears. I have taken this bike on a few riverloops and sat in with modern roadie's. It kind of a cool feeling! Especially when you get to a hill, then you remember about the straight block on the back!
This bike is being sold as is, with the additional Galli hubs, shifter levers included in the sale. This bike would suit anyone looking for a nice retro roadie without spending the big money. There are still a few things you could do to this bike, so would also suit someone looking for a little project. I am pretty firm on the asking price, the Cinelli cockpit is in very good condition and as a package I think its quite a fair price. Inspections welcome in Brisbane.
