Check the vendor's name. The buyer says "Darling, Ok if we pick up a cheap bike from a Chippendale when we're out on the weekend? "

Like the rest of you are saying, it can't be the bike that's exciting the bids.

Because retro bikes are the latest must have yuppie accessory in their inner city 'apartments' (flats), it's not good enough to have a $30K Vengie thingie on top of your $200K Euro AWD, you have to have a retro bike leaning up against the wall in your 'sitting room' (lounge room), otherwise what will all your yuppie friends have to talk about when they come around. "Oh that old thing, yeah you know, I just found it in the council clean up & thought it would be a nice cheap ornament" (after they've spent $5K on a full resto).

can't wait for this " latest must have " to die out ( shouldn't take long ) :lol:

Nah, if we are counting bikes as a 'yuppie-indicator' then I must so far into yuppie-dom that I am out the other side into straight-on weirdness... :wink:

This would look grand on any mantelpiece :shock: http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/221185769466 ... 97.c0.m619" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

But seriously if I had the time and money it would be great resto project.

Damnit, that blue Paconi roadie in Geelong just went for a steal: $315!

Double bugger since I'm visiting family in Geelong this week & could've easily collected it and taken it back to Perth on Sunday. Head tube suggested it was a size too small, bank account said "AAAARRRRGGGHHHHH", I guess it was for the best.

Anyone on here grab it?

This Campione is a smidgin too big for me, or I'd be around there to look. (2 suburbs away). Someone in Sydney may be interested; and also explain whether there was an attempted 'fixie fix'? Unlike fleabay, it's Bing_Lee negotiable, so could be obtainable for less. Not being familiar with the make, don't know where it sits in the gallery, but looks nice enough. Crap photos.
Is it gas-pipe?
Well, no, it's not a pushbike, otherwise I'd be pushing it...

The listing says 'divison of bianchi', looks a cut above gas pipe IMO.

My first thought was the Champione brand that sells Columbus stainless frames, made in china or taiwan.

Agreed Cray per my post Thu Jan 31, 2013 10:35 pm
ding ding ding.... Team-Paconi
=>> not me it was too small.

In comparison to the Neglected Clamont at $285 the Team-Paconi was a far better buy

RE: team paconi, seller said it was owned by "G. Maloney", which could be Gordon Maloney?
i was kinda half interested, but buying bikes unseen is a bit of a risk sometimes, esp. from a vague ebay seller.

I would have thought this was a trade frame from Campione Cycles in Geelomg. Pretty easy to check. I think they were made by Technotrat, so in other words they're Europa siblings. A pretty useful bike for half that price.

Masi Gran Criterium. Undoubtedly nice, highly desirable.

But not with 3 crap photos and this asking price: http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Masi-gran-cr ... 500wt_1035" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

TBH, I'd consider buying that at $300 and setting it up, but I don't need another track bike. More unicrown unholiness!!

Here's a good one. Someone selling an ALDI bike stand for nearly double what they cost two months ago. Nice looking Ken Evens with Mavic starfish cranks on it. Wonder if it's for sale?

Not junk: http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/GAZELLE-Reyn ... 500wt_1035" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Is it legal to want something this much??

Triple triangle frame, too! That always throws my perception of frame sizing, but going by the headtube... it'd be my ballpark sizing! :D :D
