Help please - Need to borrow/hire 700C wheelset

Postby MichaelB » Thu Feb 14, 2013 12:50 pm

Hiya all fellow South Aussies

I need some assistanvce in the form of a spare wheelset.

I'll potentially be in a situation soon where the dreaded N=0 will occur.

I'm at the cross over of having sold my bike (to be dispatched shortly), a test bike is disabled due to a broken spoke nipple and my new frame hasn't arrived.

To help me out of this hole, is there a feloow SA member that has a wheelset that I can borrow/hire for a short period (hopefully only a few weeks) ?

I'm happy to supply my own tyres/tubes, cassette and compensate for the use.

Only requirement is that it is Shimano 10sp

Can anyone help please ?

I have a campy 10 set you can use. Was here (shimergo thread?) i read of someone doing the switcheroo (for their trainer??) and it indexed fine enough. not flash, 32h, 12 -23 or 25.
It will cost you a ride on the voulevant...

Thanks, will keep it in mind, but would prefer to stick with Shimano.

Thanks all, but managed to save it by putting a new nipple in last night.

Thanks for the offers of assistance, greatly appreciated.

All good again
