Italian Eros Poli video 1994 Tour de france Mont Ventoux

Postby chemming » Wed Feb 14, 2007 6:23 pm

Hi All, I was wondering if anybody out there has got a video of the 1994 tour de France where Italian Eros Poli wins the stage from Montpellier to Carpentras, after climbing the fabled Mont Ventoux.
Cheers C
Ps I can't find it on You tube or the web?

Sorry. I've got the '94 Paris Roubaix ... but anyone who went near Mont Ventoux in that race was rather lost

I'm a real sucker for the traditional legs of the TdF, especially the big mountains. The commentators need only mention a name and my ears are up and I'm on the front of my seat.

Years ago now, SBS had its very first live telecast of a stage. I can't remember which one it was now, but the mountain involved rose alone out of a plain so you could see it getting closer as the stage went on. Man that was frightening ... and the Big Mig went on to slaughter the upstarts of course (Miguel Indurain fan here :D)

Phil Ligget and Paul Sherwin have a lot to answer for
