Dr Eufemiano Fuentes's trial in Madrid comes nearly seven years after police raided his offices and seized some 200 bags of blood which were linked to a number of top cyclists. Dozens of cyclists have been called to testify as witnesses in the trial.

Should be interesting.....to say the least

He is charged with “endangering public health” rather than with running a doping ring. I would have thought accessory to fraud would have been more on target
I was going to buy a fast, stylish bike, but I looked in the mirror & thought "you're not fooling anyone, you know"

Lucky not to have died. Terrible risks they were intimidated into taking.

Ridiculous that Spain has no anti-doping laws. On that subject, do we?

They do now... just not at the time this all happened.
Best case is they get threatened with some prison time... they bargain their way out of it by coming clean and we find out the real truth.

Lots of stuff is illegal to possess or import, which is why the whole AFL/NRL thing is being investigated for criminal offences, rather than just ASADA investigating for cheating.
