Ouch, shivers, I was going to ask $75 for the Superlite frame I got from munga (for $100, but I'll cop the loss), after seeing those prices maybe I should ask 2 hungie for it.

Hehehehe what's wrong with taking advantage of uninformed buyers? Aus retail has been doing it for decades. I say good luck to the fella, if he can find people willing to pay 10x the going rate for gaspipe good on him.

Don't waste your money on a Superlite folks, I've got a spare Repco Nishiki Olympic 12 (63cm?? I think), no forks. Selling for a special forum only price of $1799 if anyone's keen. :P

A quill seat post at that. Perhaps he has his stem and his seat back to front?

Well, no, it's not a pushbike, otherwise I'd be pushing it...

That is pretty impressive. Considering the photos are taken almost 3 months into the future :D
I wonder if you could get away with 2 minature bottles and a packet of Lolly cigs?

eBay needs to get onto these alternate payment methods:

"Repco Superlite - few scratches, good rideable condition.
$740 or 3 slabs of VB and a couple of scratchies"

This bloke must be a real "Le Tour" man. Back in the days when they all would have partaken in a few lungers on the top of the Alpe d'Huez , Gauloises of course and the odd crate of vodka.

Or he's nicked them, along with the other stuff he's selling.

I'm chasing something, I've checked eblag, but before I go looking off shore, I need atleast 1 prefer 3 Huret style top tube cable guides, Huret ones are either pop riveted or screwed on to the top tube, rather than brazed. I need them for a project I'm currently working on.

Let me know if you have anything lying around. (It's no good asking i the member to member section as they're mostly modern bike riders & have very limited knowledge about anything to do with a proper bicycle).

Cheers.

a so you'e bought a cheap alan carbonio because all of the guides had fallen off?

i was actually looking at just that the other day, and seriously contemplated it.
<tirade>
but then i remembered i have n bikes in the garage, and n+1 is not actually the correct number of bikes at all.

yes, i disagree with you all. you are all wrong. don't try to argue. it's futile (because i won't listen)

Eh?????? :? :? :?

Na, fixing up a frame. Not going to try to braze to an aluminium top tube, so need the screw/rivet lugs.

Alan Carbonio? Did I see an Alan advertised somewhere, one of the eblag links or something wasn't it?

I have enough Italian bikes here without messing around with some froggy thingy.

Yeah that'd be fun  , you'd have to build it with Sachs components, bet they're dearer than blinking Campy gear  .

The base player from Metalica gave me a set of his strings after their concert out at Boondall twenty years ago or so. Put them on my base, which actually belonged to a mate of mine and I've never seen them since. He wanted the base back for some reason. I couldn't play anyway.

Great soft ride the Alans, though the forks can be a bit sketchy.
Here's mine in Perth, built with Campy 11.
CX version
My favorite bike to commute on and ride light trails.
