Righto, hands up who's watching this? All of us? I thought so. The guys had a few off line offers already so the jigs up. No bargain here.

What is it? Flash frame, no mudguard lugs, built by Kuwahara, is it a North American model or an Apollo V?

Not moi, but maybe I should start bidding, na, don't need it, already trying to move two Repco's onto new owners, so no need to get another one. It is within 5kms of my place so if someone needs a set of eyes on it, let me know.

My guess is that apollo is a 1986 model... It has a model name on the toptube ..."alternative" , Id love to know who came up with these silly names :?
Its not an import nor a "V"....just a well spec'd Apollo nevertheless.
When in doubt......mumble.

If I go to look at it, I guess I'd better put forward my appreciation on it, I sort of value it at around $150, that'd be about my max bid if I was trying to buy it, $75 for the frame & $75 for the gruppo, so if you ask my opinion, then that's where I would be on it, that way anybody can work out if I say to them, yes it's ok or no it's a heap.

And yes, someone has already approached me, so be aware if you haven't bidded on it & decide to do so, you could very well be bidding against a fellow forum member.

Cheers Wal.

Beautiful bike but has been re-listed a number of times, meaning the owner knows its value (or won't sell it for cheap). No chance of it going cheap.

This has flagged my interest...

Might place a sneaky last minute bid if it doesnt get any interest. Not worth too much more imho.

Went extremely cheaply. If I hadn't bought a frame earlier in the day I'd have been on it. I lie - I thought it was going to top out at double that, and wouldn't have even bought in. Someone got the bargain of the month.

Why not set a realistic start price or list as BIN instead of yanking the auction if the bids aren't high enough?

I'd be pretty <language> if I had a bid on and the auction was pulled, regardless of perceived value or who the seller was. That's the nature of treebay - set a BIN and start price you're happy with, or sell via other means.

Or, set your (effective) Reserve as your starting Bid figure. Simple; but not to some, it seems.
Well, no, it's not a pushbike, otherwise I'd be pushing it...
