Doesn't take some people very long, does it? Guess I'll put on watch and see how much is profited on it. Yes, I was ready to go and get it. no, was not intending to on-sell in 10 days. But that's the game, I guess.

Maybe I was a bit harsh…I'll upgrade them to Frank Berto's definition of a "Standard Bike".

Dear blacktowncentral,
Hi, is this the bates that was on gumtree last week? Surprised to see such a collectable bicycle up for sale again so quickly.
...and the response this morning...
Hi there yes it is! I had no idea what it was until i picked it up. 58cm centre of crank to top of seat pole insert. Top tube 57 cm centre to centre it would suit a rider between 5 10 to 6 2 hope that helps cheers.

Understood... of course. Just a comment on a bottom-feeder, is all. Venting a little helped. We may yet find Mr. Ob**d has done nothing wrong, technically. It does have some rust as you can see from the photos but I think this adds to the bike."
No it isn't, and no it doesn't. IMO.

I thought the location of the seller was a giveaway - deception bayldrcycles wrote:"This vintage bike is in good condition for its age.

Uuurrrg, sticking a two stroke on a pushy is revolting enough at the best of times but when it's coupled with messy wiring you gotta wonder even more than usual about how damn unsafe it's gotta be.Hamster wrote:Very probably the fastest Repco Preset on the planet

Agreed - I've reported it to Ebay as being illegal. As an absolute minimum the seller should disclose that it's illegal to ride on public roads.Mulger bill wrote:Uuurrrg, sticking a two stroke on a pushy is revolting enough at the best of times but when it's coupled with messy wiring you gotta wonder even more than usual about how damn unsafe it's gotta be.Hamster wrote:Very probably the fastest Repco Preset on the planet

Disappointing that people are doing this to Presets when they are actually quite nice bikes.

Regardless of niceness, they are low priced. Makes 'em the perfect base for an unscrupulous shonk who doesn't care if people get chopped to bits because of his desire to fill his pocket. Goodonyer for reporting it Hamster.ldrcycles wrote:Disappointing that people are doing this to Presets when they are actually quite nice bikes.

and collect old car bodies, walk their greyhounds and live on the edge of town. Up here we call them "munsters".munga wrote:just coz they're missing some teeth, smoke durries, have mullets, wear singlets, footy shorts and thongs, and ride to the TAB on a weekday morning without a helmet, does not necessarily mean they've lost their licence.
