Hey guys..
I am back NOR for a few months and I was wondering if there are any groups that are not associated with bike stores who ride on the weekends?

Regularly see a few packs (varying speeds) with ABC blinds gear heading between brighton and yanchep sunday mornings. I think it was someone from the northern beaches club who stopped in front of me in his car to hand over a card on the same route. No where near the amount of groups as there is round the city

I heard from a shop owner's Mum that their shops make half their big sales on the shop rides with 'one up' envy of the latest greatest.Marty Moose wrote:Why no shop rides ??
Rabo probably feels a soft target for such sales tactics and trying to keep from being fleeced for a while...

Just found this link, not sure whether the information is up-to-date:

Thanks for the motivation, rabobank89!
I bought a Giant XTC 29er in 2011 and have ridden it quite hard on unsealed roads, but your post made me look a little harder at groups, and now I'm registered for an introductory MTB session at Kalamunda on the weekend! http://perthmtb.asn.au/node/40200
Normally I'm on my flat bar roadie, and I haven't done any MTB type rides (I don't count unsealed roads), so this should be an interesting experience!
