Committed Cycles closing down.

Postby MarkG » Sat Mar 09, 2013 2:00 pm

Just got an email from Brad Sara, the owner. Committed Cycles are closing down.

Probably wrapping it up over next couple of weeks.
3 day sale on what's in stock.

There is a chance a new bike shop will move in (he says) but its a tough market along Albany Hwy.

There is more to the story but I am probably not at liberty to discuss.

They also had a store in Armadale which was 10 times better than the one on Fourth Ave in Armadale.

Shame they are closing up but considering there is 4 bike stores in Cannington before Carousel, it makes it tough to compete against the franchised cycling stores.

That is real shame. Bought my Fuji from them a year ago and the were all pretty good guys. All the best to Brad and the boys!

I bought both our bikes from them...however they did not look after my wife properly when she went there without me so lost me as a customer. Perhaps there was more of this happening than they realised?

I forget their name.... but has anyone popped into that newish store about 5 or so doors, and a car yard further South of Committed on the same side of Albany H'way? I've walked and ridden past a few times after hours and been a bit underwhelmed by their floor stock. But admittedly, I probably wouldn't fit their target market.

I think they've opened up less than 6 months ago. What with the Mega-Avanti, BikeForce etc all within Ghosty-ing distance... I wondered as soon as I saw them how long they'd last.
