Bacchetta Corsa

Postby Low Racer » Thu Jun 26, 2008 5:53 pm

Hi,
Has anyone here ridden one before? Flying Furniture will do a medium Corsa frameset for under $1900. I am tempted to get one and build it up. Not sure how a high racer would compare to the low racer I already have.

Thanks

Chong

I ride with a guy who rides one, but I only have the Giro 26 ( with 700c wheels). My impression as a close observer is that they are a very good bike. I prefer the versatility of mine, but his sure is fast.

I'd guess it won't be as fast as your low racer, but it would be a close thing. It should climb faster (being lighter) but will be a little slower in headwinds.

John Schlitter rode one of two Corsas across the US in the recently completed RAAM 2008. First recumbent rider to finish the event, he finished 9th overall of the solo riders. Not bad for 52 years old in his first solo effort .... ;)

Cheers,
Graeme
