Clicking Through on BNA

Postby AUbicycles » Fri Mar 01, 2013 10:07 am

Current List

Torpedo 7
Ground Effect
Ebay
Chain Reaction Cycles
Wiggle
ProBikeKit
Evans Cycle
JensonUSA
Competitive Cyclist
Cycling Express

(Cell Bikes unfortunately stopped, although it was going well for them, email them if you want them to restart as they are a pretty good Aussie online retailer.)

Many members know that if you purchase online, and click through the link on BNA to the shop then this helps BNA.

It doesn't affect the price you pay and BNA gets on average 2-3% of the sale price which goes back into this website. So if you are ready to buy, it would be great if you can click through from BNA which is a easy way for you to support. We have the main store links on the right side in the grey box and many shop names are automatically linked inside posts.

If you get a referral for an online store or Local Bike Shop from this site, tell them it was through BNA. When these stores see that BNA helps get them business, they are prepared to return the support. Likewise if you spot a shop that you think should be an affiliate on BNA, let me know - not all shops are interested but I can always ask.

On Aussie shops - you will notice that recently we have added Cell Bikes and Cycling Express which is great. Previously we only had Torpedo7 although I was actively trying to get more Aussie retailers involved so for a while it appeared to be just the domain of the overseas stores.

Regardless of where you choose to buy - if we had a link to the retailer as an affiliated partner, clicking through helps!

Cheers
Christopher

Maybe you need a link to Starbike and Bike24? 3% of some Son28 and/or Rohloff action would oil the wheels? Theres a few forum members who've been down that track now.

Affiliate programs are great. I'll make sure I click through with all my future bike purchases as I know it makes a big difference and helps pay the bills!

I use "Ribble" can,t see them on the list. They are better priced than most if you can catch the stock "in stock".

Ribble have the problem of not ever bothering to respond - over the past 3 years I have sent about 15 requests and not had a single response.
I would be interested, and have tried but can't get any further on this.

If you do order, you could through in a note in the order that they should take notice of BNA :)

Hi Chris,

Last two orders through c r c done via the click through.

Had a goodie for Ribble, but they aren't on your list.

Have to order some things through eBay soon, so will make sure I go through BNA :D

I just downloaded and tried Chrome (Mac) and it works fine. Are we talking about the links on the right?

Bugger me.

They all work now.

Sorry Christopher but they didn't yesterday or previously. Missed out on some revenue yesterday :(

Just put a cheque in the post and we can call it quit.

If it is an oversized cheque, I will get a photo of me holding it and shaking hands with someone :)

Ah I didn't know that but it doesn't surprise me. My only concern would be regarding warranties for some manufacturers like Garmin and cycle helmet safety certification.

Wiggle don't currently change anything about the website if you use the AU compared to the UK. They still say that everything comes from the UK so all warranties etc. will be UK ones (and all powerpoint plugs will be EU/UK etc. unless specified otherwise). Not sure about the helmet safety stickers though as I haven't purchased a helmet from them.

Yes - you do need to watch out for the Australian Safety Standards sticker - AS/NZS 2623:2008. If it doesn't specifically reference this then avoid.

On Competitive Cyclist, I will look into this.
