The Bicycle Transport Alliance has been advised that the Town of Bassendean has released for comment another bike plan which is behind the times; this time the Town of Bassendean Local Bike Plan 2012. As noted by the BTAWA the future of the plan does not look promising going by the disclaimers in the introductory note.
Again, the Town would like to make it clear that this is a draft plan only and that, at this stage, Council has not endorsed or adopted any part of this plan. It is advised
that some parts of this plan do conflict with other plans prepared for and adopted by Council.
Whilst the Bicycle Transport Alliance will put a submission in on the plan on behalf of cyclists, personally I would bother given the Town's opening attitude.
If there are any Bicycling Western Australia members here it would be appreciated if you could share with us what BWA has to say on the plan ...
