SA ASC fixed 3 speed and biopace chainring. The hub runs backwards with the chain on the LHS. The man was a true eccentric
More about the build [url=<A class=vglnk title="Link added by VigLink" href="http://sheldonbrown.com/org//gunnar/]here[/url" rel=nofollow target=_blank vglnk_1363475279261="2"><SPAN>http</SPAN><SPAN>://</SPAN><SPAN>sheldonbrown</SPAN><SPAN>.</SPAN><SPAN>com</SPAN><SPAN>/</SPAN><SPAN>org</SPAN><SPAN>//</SPAN><SPAN>gunnar</SPAN><SPAN>/]</SPAN><SPAN>here</SPAN><SPAN>[/</SPAN><SPAN>url</SPAN></A>]
You can pay more than that for just the ASC 3 speed fixed hub - see here http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/NOS-1949-Stu ... 48475398d7" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
And how does a biopace chainring work ?? with a fixed gear? "Why be normal" Sheldon

Am guessing it would be doing whatever it does (or doesn't do... SB was a non-sceptic on them, and kinda liked them), regardless of other gearing. His entry on it is a good read. He dismisses the slight change in chain tension as too small to be of concern.tedsbikes wrote:

A nice frame, but at $450 for a bottom-end Peugeot it is waaaaay overpriced. At $150 it'd still be expensive.

I think there's something subliminal in the fact the mannequin changes helmets.frailer5 wrote:Seriously? Hoping to attract female buyers?

Isnt it forum rules that 1 in 10 pics in the retro section must contain a washing basket ?

This one's a pure track bike and never been drilled for brakes. I'm allergic to riding brakeless fixies on the road, but my plans this year include some track riding. So yes, it'll get used, but only on the track.QuangVuong wrote:Good to hear! Gonna ever ride that?
It may, or may not, make a static appearance at Tempe on Saturday to keep my other Bol D'or company.
