Interesting read. Giant are really raising the bar. I also hear they have the best warranty in the business from browsing on forums and talking with local riders.

Well, Giant are in a position to know, since they make most of the other brands' frames for them.
I wonder if Giant's competitors might end up regretting the decision to become sticker-design companies.

The only frame I have had break on me was a Giant. So using Durian Rider logic, that means that Giant frames are prone to breakage.

I've seen lots of different brand (carbon) frames crack, no one brand more than another, I think they are just a consumable item.simonn wrote:The only frame I have had break on me was a Giant. So using Durian Rider logic, that means that Giant frames are prone to breakage.

I don't see any bamboo frames in that list...

It's interesting the article says that Giant believes it's all about weight and stiffness. Of course, Giant now has introduced an aero frame to compete with the smaller companies on this marketing aspect.

Would not have called the tcr void of aero considerations!biker jk wrote:It's interesting the article says that Giant believes it's all about weight and stiffness. Of course, Giant now has introduced an aero frame to compete with the smaller companies on this marketing aspect.

Looks like you ran into a tree or something. Did you get warranty on this one? What sort of giant is this. I don't recognise it. Put up a photo of the entire bike. It looks like my 1991 shogun. Same colour too.
I worked in the cycling industry for many a year. Seen every single brand break. Id say Giant has the best customer service in the industry. The euro brands like Colnago, Pinarello, Daccordi etc had the worse warranties.
