Some photos I took of the bikes and Madison race: https://plus.google.com/photos/11418183 ... 1171714897" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

And a video of some of the Madison riders going 'round:

Congratulations to DHCC and the organisers, a great day. The concourse bikes were fantastic and I picked up a needed item at the stalls. Could I suggest a further category for the concourse of 'Bikes with a bit of history' for bikes that do not qualify for the other categorises such as restored or original because they might be a mixture of both. After seeing the bikes on display I feel that bikes with some history regarding their parts (eg frame) or useage would be of interest to many of the spectators. Looking forward to next year.

What a great event!

I managed to ride up just as the concourse winners were being announced. I saw a nice De Rosa chained up to the fence, and a stunning red Tommasini being wheeled off the grounds. There were too many nice bikes on display to mention and I didn't bring a camera. I'm really looking forwards to seeing pictures! Cudos to all involved in the day!

We're beginning to upload photos and short videos of the day on our Facebook page 'Sydney Classic Bicycle Show'. Have a look.
We had 2 official photographers and 1 video camera roaming the event. Will get these up when they are ready.
Will also get JohnJ to put up the results to the Concour event.

Thanks for putting on a great show I had a very relaxing day, and so many wonderful classic bikes to see, spent too much with the traders but their prices were better than eBay and no postage! .I was very pleased to take out best owner built and the 60 to 85 concourse with a bike I made in 1984 in the tradition of the Alan frames (I purchased an Alan from the traders on the day!) for almost 30 years this frame has seen a few upgrades from first generation Dura ace to the 7400 STI it has had since 1991,and to its current restored condition, now that the show is over I can start to ride it again, just on fine Sundays hopefully for another 30 years! Once again thanks to all the members of the Dulwich Hill bicycle Club for a great day and will look forward to next year.

Yup, it was a great day! Excellent organization by the team art the DHBC, hope it all happens again next year. We had a great time perusing all the exhibits and cruising the stalls.
Also, excellent work by the judges (who I think were enjoying themselves far too much! :-) ) Gonna bring a pre-war bike next year to give JohnJ a run for his money!
Cheers
Richard.

It would be good to have a few older pre 60's bikes next year. I am a bit of a fan of the old "box lining" and there was one very nice example on show of this dying skill. I still fancy trying to teach myself to do it as a retirement hobby but unfortunately ever since my "orange peel" bright orange valiant pacer respray I have never fancied myself as having much talent in the painting area.

Hopefully this was taken by mistake, and not intentionally stolen. Hope the owner gets this back.

Wouldve gone to this if I was free that arvo. Next year Ill be there for sure. May even bring some vintage carbon.

For a first time event it was a great turnout and some gorgeous bikes on display. I just wish I'd been able to display a few bikes instead of just briefly dropping in and not contributing. Venue was great and the show and shine on the infield worked a treat. Looking forward to the next one

I was in Sydney for the Bruce Springsteen concert on the Friday night, and was delighted to see the Bike Show was on the following day.
It was good to see the bikes that had been the subject of threads or posts, and to meet some of the forum members. It appears from the posts that there were many other forum members attending.
Here are a few photos from those I took:

I echo the sentiments of those who thanked the organisers and participants. May it continue and grow.

I have thanked the organisers via email but would also publicly like to say thank you very much for a great day, the weather was kind (if not a little warm) and the bikes spectacular. I entered my little Speedwell not knowing it would be surrounded by such exotic foreign steel. However it was great to participate and I will be back next year for sure.

Was that your green speedwell ken?
I made the comment that you don't to have a rare frame and expensive parts to pull off a killer build!
Congrats if it was your ride, looked great...

Slack of me but BIG thanks to the Judges for giving their time, Spirito, RogerRabbit and the others that made the effort. Much appreciated.
I didn't have any bikes to be judged this year so I will focus on the next event (later this year? Maybe? Wishfull!)

And a picture of the Judging...

Owner and judges discussing the intricacies of the weird world of the Osgear
... or possibly subtitled ' I'm sure that's a chain you know!'

correctly identified (if you meant the blue shirt and the hat), and watched over by Spirito (also in a blue shirt)
