Hmmm, that's the 'stretch limo version' of bikes I think.

Thanks Andrew

Well, I'm pretty chuffed. I scored an ex-Aussie Post bike off of Mugtree yesterday. Been wanting one for years. Everything quite serviceable, with the front basket and a chunky steel rear rack certainly beefy enough to make the Cro-Mo Surly "Nice Racks" quiver. All in "Go Fast" PMG red. :D

Not optimal for my height & size.. but for less than 10% of RRP Big Dummy/Kona Ute etc I am not complaining. Excellent little surburban hauler.

Where's my needle and thread? Time to think about some bags....

For your 'new steed' check out horse riding saddle and tote bag combos, often available in the ultimate compliment to "steel is real"... oiled canvas =D

Often better quality for cargo haulage longevity in the junior sizes of the larger stuff.

I like these, just need some boat shoes and a white hat styled helmet with black band for the bike-only retiree look:

Cheers eldavo. May well be worth a look! Only thing that concerns me is that I might have to talk to "Horsey" people. ;)

I saw the ad pretty fresh up on Monday night, and was straight on it Tuesday morning. I knew it wouldn't last long. I'm not normally known for my fast reaction times ;)

No worries, turns out many meat eaters in the UK are horsey lovers just didn't know it yet, so you won't be so alone.

It's the whiney Horsey people and our confounded lingering Anglo-pretentions that are stopping me from getting a "Palomino Whopper" at my local HJs.

Anyway... in trying to research a little history of my Southcott Cycles made Postie bike (following various old dead forum links ad infinitum) I came across this mob I hadn't heard of in Victoria, Trisled. Seems they mainly market themselves behind their sexy (ahem) velomobile image, but take at look at their Cargo bike section.

Their legacy pages shows their 'Flying Ethel' model which looks very much like many European long-john style box bikes. Seems to be discontinued on the new pages though. If I was in the market for a new cargo bike, I'd certainly get in contact with them.

Go look at the build it yourself Flying Dutchman Cargo Bike on the Atomic Zombie website.
There are also some examples on Instructables.
