basically on is a clamp and the other supports the BB and seat tube??

The cellbikes one is dissappointing. No use on my Apollo MTB which has cables running under the bottom bracket where it would sit on the stand. It's somewhat useful on road bike - but doesn't feel real stable (front wheel stay isn't strong enough).Chuckles1981 wrote:I did a search and did'nt really touch on this topic..

One that grab by the seat post I suspect are better - but saddle bags or lock clamps mounted on seat post will get in the way. You need to check how it works with the geometry of your bike.
Buying stands by mail-order is risky - coz you can't see the potential flaws in photos, nor see how it might fit your bike. You also can't see how effective the clamping/adjustment screws are for height/angle adjustment.
Somethings you really need the service of your LBS for !
