Crash on Bayswater PSP 27 MArch

Postby Pravda » Thu Mar 28, 2013 1:11 pm

Anyone know anything about this? Apparently it was just North of East Perth Train station but before the Guildford Road lights.
A mate of mine rode past it and told me there was one cyclist being loaded into an ambulance on a stretcher, a few others around with police cars and at least one motorist stopped. He couldn't tell if it had happened on the road or on the path.
Apparently there's blood on the path there this morning, which would imply it was the path but I don't know for sure.

Went past at about 4.45pm yesterday and nothing there. Funny place to have a stack unless a head on while overtaking round the bend there as it's a little hard to see oncoming traffic (same for both directions).

As far as I know it was around 6pm.
Definitely a strange place to have a stack on the PSP, very open. Unless it was on the road...

I went past about 5:30 I think it was, a guy was not in good shape lying on the path.

Looked like it happened on the first bend heading east just past east Perth train station.

Lots of people assisting which was good. Hope both riders are doing well.

This morning there has been another crash very near by, immediately south of the Guildford Rd overpass.
A man about 50 years of age was sitting against the fence looking quite sorry for himself, grazing on his elbows and on his cheek/nose. Another person was on the phone to get some assistance.

It looks like he may have had an altercation with the bollard in the middle of the path...
