Avonlink to Northam question

Postby hiflange » Fri Mar 29, 2013 1:09 pm

Anyone here had any experience carrying a bike on the AvonLink service?

We're taking the train to Northam for the Vintage Festival. We've booked the only two bike spots for a pair of vintage bikes as part of the WAHCC static display. TransWA's site says that the bikes will fit in the "storage compartment". I'd like to get a better idea of how they're likely to be treated.

Nice setup on the train. Pity only two bikes but I guess probably not a lot of demand. Oh nice bikes too and nice photo :)

Well that's cool  Last time I checked they didn't allow bikes full stop (or maybe I'm thinking of the Prospector). Bit better than the Australind where they just get wheeled into a vestibule at the end of the carriage.
