Murray to Moyne

Postby gabrielle260 » Thu Apr 04, 2013 9:51 pm

Not sure if there is a M2M thread already....but I know it's been mentioned by others. Who's doing Murray to Moyne and which route are you doing?
I am part of a small team of 6 riders starting from Echuca.
It would be great to catch up with fellow forumites somewhere along the route!

I'm participating with some of my colleagues and we, too, are commencing at Echuca. We have around 15 riders on our roster.

Weather is looking good, so it ought to be a fantastic weekend.

Hope to see you there!

cheers

BIG effort from him to do that. I ended up with 355 for the two days amd it was enough for me. Weather was great, apart from the fog out of Hamilton this morning. When the sun broke through we were able to defrost!

Well done Macca! That's big kms for M2M!
We had a full distance rider in our team... It added another dimension to the ride supporting him. He (and therefore we) averaged 35 kph on Saturday and then we averaged 32 kph today riding as a whole team into Port Fairy.
Another really enjoyable M2M !!

Great effort from you and your small crew Andrew.

We had three crews doing 30km stints with one lot averaging 35+, one at 30 and one at 26. We mixed it up a bit and i did a few double stints. I did 60km with the quick crew early and we were rolling at 42+ for a fair bit. I decided they weren't for me after a while...lol

Yesterday we rolled slowly together - 26kph - with a bacon n egg sanga stop at Macarthur along the way.

Fanrastic ride and we're already booked for next year!

Hey Macca, we did the MacArthur route too. We sat in front of, then behind, a large team who peeled off there... Was that your team? There were a couple of riders at the back who were struggling and one stronger rider who dropped back to push them up hills... A good effort from him, I thought!

Yep could have been us mate - light coloured kit with 360 on the back. We had 18 in our bunch. Some of our crew were feeling the pinch on those rolling hills, so our skipper was helping them along. It was a slow, but it was good to ride in at the end together as a large bunch.

Could have been us, Team 240 (Blue & Orange kit). We pushed one of our riders for the last 60km as it was taking too long to get to the pub.
