It's been a while since I posted here, but I am chugging along....still behind the red arrow, but hope to have a solid April and May in Canberra's beautiful autumn weather to close the gap. PLus I have had a cold/manflu over the last 2 weeks which is finally starting to disappear....

Thought I was finally feeling better today and contemplating a decent ride tonight. Then I started pushing it on the commute home and quickly turned into a coughing, spluttering mess. The will power to allow proper rest and recovery and not send things backwards again is proving extremely difficult.

I arrived home to something a bit different, finding we had been evacuated due to a bomb in the area. Initial reports where that a suspicious device was found in the reserve behind our house but the later confirmation by the police was that an "explosive device with the potential to harm people and damage property" was located on the first floor of a house just across the reserve. The bomb squad was called down from Sydney to dismantle it.

As for your missing rides in Strava, you can upload a GPX file if you have the rides somewhere that it's an option to export as a GPX or alternatively you can manually add rides as well.
Thanks for the welcome. Managed to load all the rides from the start of January into Strava via the .gpx file. They haven't translated across to the cycle goal tracking thingy as yet.(I think that's the official name of the tool)

Gary, if you go to the Setting menu you can click on "Fetch Ride Data" if you can't wait for it to refresh overnight...

My manflu was assessed by my admin assistant as sinus today and I dare not argue with her. She told me to htfu and forced me to drink some apple cider vinegar for good measure. Tomorrow, I shall ride! (or die - apple cider vinegar is horrible)

Bit damp on the commute in this morning but nothing too serious. Still no update to the tracking thingy :(

Went for a ride this morning and just kicked over 2500km for the year. Giddy up :D . Nearly 850km in front of the arrow.

Now watch me pickup the flu from the kids with the onset of winter.

Nice work! You'll smash the 6k goal at the rate you're going... stretch goal of 10k!

Rain here today so I gave the CycleOps Magnetic Pro a crack, with the included workout DVD. It was a decent workout, so I cannot complain. Definitely need to get a fan though, as a lake formed beneath me very quickly!

Yes Norbs, I read your reviews and they are the reason why I will NOT grab the Sufferfest videos - I'm not crazy mate!!!

To be honest, I am hoping to avoid the trainer as much as possible, so will do the included video, or just my own intervals to music when I have to ride it.

cheers

I'll see how we go. Strava reckons I'm only averaging 207km ATM. That's something I need to do every week. It's a bit hard to fit around work and family.
