There was an inevitability to it - nobody makes affordable steel roadie frames any more (the gazillion cheap fixie frames don't count) and anything which still has the original stickers is worth far more than something anonymous. I'm starting to think a $150 shogun or centurion is good buying, even the entry level ones like the Selectra are good riding and take modern parts, what's not to like?
Also, it's pink! That's worth at least an extra pineapple.

Yep, I don't think that's OTT for the Centurion. Prices can only steadily climb, at a guess. Slowly, maybe, but still up.
It's weird though, it does seem to fluctuate month to month. Only takes a few extra shed drag-outs, and the guys on BNA Retro to be busy on domestic chores ---> temporary price drop. :lol:

Is it so hard to take a bike outside/to a bigger area, take three steps backward, and take a photo? Rather buy from one good side on shot than half a dozen details!

Not steel, not even retro aluminium, but I do like the look of this http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/111048655978 ... 1423.l2649" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; - except for the broken derailleur hanger.

yah that might almost be a decent project if you can remove that dropout.
you could try rebonding the loose lugs on the donor frame and singlespeed the one with the dodgy dropout.
those rebonded lugs are gunna be on your mind on every ride tho..

$200 for a low end Raleigh frame that's had a primer powdercoat and looks to have a bent rear end- http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Vintage-Rale ... 2ec6e0050a" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Badly bent speedwell- http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/BIKE-OLD-VIN ... 3cd06dc727" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

'fixie' monstrosity- http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Vintage-Fixi ... 4ac3502e62" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

And a slightly scary looking '3 person rickshaw'- http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/3-Person-Bik ... 4ac34f3a46" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

That's not a widdle, biddy frame, this is a widdle biddy frame. I mean how many times to you see a statement like this:
I am 5ft 6 and it is a little small for me
