Did anyone brave the pouring rain this morning? I am a big wuss & decided that I enjoyed being warm & dry at home. Yep, I am as hard as a junket sandwich

+1. It's a day to stay in and clean the chain.

I planned to ride to work today. Drove instead. Miserable weather and I didn't need the extra riding time.

Miserable morning, my trend of not riding in preference to getting fatter continues.

If I was commuting to work, I would be riding. I have ridden in far worse. However, I would never take my road bike out in this on purpose.

if you want to see the tunnel under the M2 in flood, today is your chance :-)
BTW I checked out the other end of Cheltenham Rd for access to Kent St via the M2 overpass, and found it is perfect. There is one small set of steps with a small ramp you can use to one side. It gives direct access to the M2 overpass, so you are covered in wet weather :-)

Alarm went off at 515am, wandered out the front door, wet porch. Back door, could see the drops charging down, I bought a trainer to make sure I could still ride for a reason lol

Would love to see a pic of you on the trainer with a video of Reg Varny's "On the buses" playing, chasing a bus on a trainer

Tomorrow looks good now that the rain has gone. We'll all be doing 100km + rides to make up for today then? :D

Cool, yeah I took a short ride to Epping shops to buy a few groceries this afternoon and I went that way, seems good. That ramp from Cheltenham down to Castle Howard was quite slippery when wet and in my SPD shoes though (the cleats stick out a tiny bit from the bottom which ruins their traction).

It's supposed to be a bit wet tomorrow morning easing in the afternoon too :S Not sure if I should attempt to get up early for a group ride or just sleep in and go for a ride by myself later...

Agreed. The best morning of the year.

Pedalling up Galston Gorge with the sun coming through the trees and mist was just magic. Nippy, but beautiful.

Another one in agreement here, a stunning morning, one that is hard to beat. I went out to the M7, did the whole length and return to home, not even any flooding at Prestons which was good considering yesterday's weather, just a big puddle on the one side of the path.

Glad I woke up early, weather was just brilliant. Went for a ride to Bobbin head, started out with winter gloves, arm warmers etc and came home in summer mode it was that warm.

Brrr! Winter has arrived! 8 degrees on my commute this morning. Was very thankful I put a base layer on under my jersey. Good ride though.

Yes it was nice but chilly. 7.4° when I left home at Toongabbie at 4:55am.

Bit cold but a nice ride none the less. Hadly even had a chance to warm up over my 10k trip but I'm looking forward to a warm and sunny ride home.
