Stunning this morning, perfect day for a few hours out on the bike. Time to dig out the thermal socks though as my feet were like blocks of ice when i got home. The Shimano Click R shoes are great but they let a lot of cold air in.

Rode from Hornsby to wyong, fantastic day for it. Now please excuse me while I cram my body weight of calories into my mouth to recover...

Sydney put on a brilliant morning - and there were heaps of families hiring bikes and cycling around Sydney Olympic Park. Really good to see how popular its getting - even if it meant having to slow down a bit more often to get around wobbly kids on the paths.

Only about 92km, 1100m climbed, average a touch over 28 kph.

Could have but I had things planned for the afternoon. As it was I only had time for a shower and some toast when I got home before I was on a train and into the city again :P

I didn't really know anything about it, so probably not, I've only been riding up here for a few weeks (recently moved) so not up to speed with the various rides etc.

BNCC is the Annual Bike North Event, start/finish at Wahroonga Park.
The 210km ride is Wahroonga/Bobbin Head/Brooklyn/Peats Ridge/Brooklyn/Berowra Waters/Galston Gorge/Wahroonga/Galston Gorge/Berowra Waters/Bobbin Head/Wahroonga

I expect to be totally knackered on Sunday night!

was the same this afternoon, had to stop a couple of times along the river for kids all across the path, but good to see them getting out on bikes.

Yet another glorious morning, we're being spoiled at the moment. Fresh start with wall to wall blue sky. My Ground Effect thermal socks came in very handy.

I did a wonderful couple of hours going through Bobbin Head and then on to Galston Gorge and return. It was the first time i'd ever done Galston and was surprised at how hard it is climbing out of the gorge towards Galston itself and conversely was surprised at how relatively easy the climb back out towards Hornsby was up through the hairpins. I thought those would be a killer but really it wasn't at all hard. My word i love the run back down to Bobbin Head though. :D

Went out to Church point via lane cove and the spit bridge and back through lane cove again today, 95.7km at about 28kph average. Was a lovely ride, hurt myself a bit on mccarrs creek road. My power is good but I need to work on my endurance, my legs are well and truly hurting by ~90km if there's a lot of climbing involved.

The public holiday was amazing - I've never seen so many people out cycling. Really awesome! :D

Today was pretty nice too - lovely warm sun, but not too hot. :)

I went out on the hunt for another few KOMs. Bettered an existing one, missed another one by a little bit. Will try again tomorrow for the other two I want to get. 8)

Can a day be too good ?

Pedestrian and runners congested the Bay Run shared path
alongside Dobroyd Parade so much it was impossible to
stay mounted for more than 50m at a time. Only marginally
better along Henley Marine Drive cycleway on the return trip.

Looks like I'll have to get up even earlier to enjoy the best of days
like this or head to Kurnell instead :)
