Its easy when your children struggle with the concept, even more so with the reality.Shpox wrote:Not sure how you older gents are even getting up at these winter hours.

I replaced the downtube shifters on the bike only 2 months ago with a 2nd hand set of ultegra 6600 brifters. It's made the bike so much more rideable, but there is plenty of "vintage" stuff still left on the bike - Sugino/Suntour/Dia Compe/Cinelli and the frame is Columbus SLX tubing...Wazza wrote:The loop we do is around the 32k mark so it will be a 60k+ day for you. Don't worry about brifters, as mentioned here previously everyone is welcome, we just choose to ride older steel bikes and talk about them
6am
Browning Street
West End - near the Melbourne Hotel
PS
Only 2 bikes yesterday had D/T shifters.
Unfortunately the frame is a tad too big for me, so the money i save using the bike to commute to work instead of using bus/train will be used later down the track to get me to n+2 bikes...

the thing is, can you tolerate us talking about the best corncobs and differences between various retrofriction levers?
further, can your ego handle nobody being interested in your iBike?

Maybe I'll wait until the next generation of Di2 is released, then start my own iBike retro thread.munga wrote:yeah if we can tolerate (tolerance is not the same as acceptance) madfiber sr11eps, we can tolerate di2.
