What does everyone think of these - Bracciano C50T - Carbon Tubular

Looking for some wheels to do IronMan 2014 Melbourne. Also for weekend long rides.

Feel free to offer up alternatives.
Budget is $1000.

I would have been so over them had they came with easy-to-peel-off stickers. But like their other alloy wheels. Best bang for bucks.

You can find these cheaper on CR ($779). However this will be without local support from one of our resident on here. $200 insurance IMO.

I race on the C50T tubular personally. I maybe a little biast but in my opinion you'd have to spend nearly 3x the price in other brands to get something equilivant.

I only have one set left at the current price. I understand the c r c stock is not the "team edition" version.

Perhaps i will save a little more and go with DA C50 Clichers.
Obviously big differences in these wheels. Would be interesting to know what would people prefer to ride on for IronMan and long flattish rides.

There is Bracciano C50 and Bracciano C50T - the last set I have is the C50T (Team Edition). Lighter than the lower model c r c have left.

The Bracciano C45 Caliente will be here next week, 45mm full carbon clincher. That maybe more what you are looking for?

Legend has it that they all would go 85mm deep front and back if the wind isn't too strong. Disc even... but you'd probably be better off hiring them, because how many races would you do with these things?! 50mm deep is pretty hawt for everyday riding or training hehehe

Sorry the decals are white. Maybe in the future that could change as they have gone black on black for some of the frames.

A friend has actually offered to lend me some zipps for IronMan, so these are not critical for me at he moment.
I have also spent a small fortune already on entry and other gear.

No problem with your weight. These ones will need a freehub swap for Shimano 11sp.

I can't beat the current price, if you saw what we pay for them you'd understand why. Most likely the price will increase a little in the near future.

I'll have 11sp compatible ones next week which I can do for small up-charge. PM me for the pricing.

Looking at the prices on c r c of these wheels accompanied with the rep they've been getting through here at BNA, i'm tempted to just purchase a set of 50mm in lieu of rebuilding my chinese carbons (which I've been mostly dissapointed with).

Only 1 question though, and you may not want to answer it, can the decals be removed or have they been clear coated over?... pretty keen on a stealth look.

Buy from c r c at your own risk. They are the lower, older model, not the team edition version that we have. You'll have almost zero support since Pro-Lite have stopped selling to c r c, they are dumping their stock below cost to clear it. If you have any issues with Pro-Lite gear you buy from c r c, you have to go back through them - I'm unable to cover your warranty although happy to sell you spares and give you advice etc.

If you're going to pay the extra for a quality product might as well have the people around you know about it.

For the price we're selling this model at its a marketing exercise. If everyone removed the decals I might as well not bother bringing them in.

Haven't scanned through the whole topic and couldn't see the answer on the Prolite site. Are these wheels UCI approved?

Not everybody likes stickers / advertising / branding all over their bike - personally I'd prefer something a bit subtle myself. (That said these don't look bad)

Deon is saying that every wheel comes with branded stickers, and if you're a stealth obsessed person, perhaps the chinese wheels might be a better way forward for you? Pro-Lite is actually in line with the top end of the market, not the bottom, by having crap all over the wheel

Bit off topic, but I just put my order through for a set of Pro-Lite Bracciano's (alloy 27mm profile version) to replace my Dura-Ace C24's.

After reading through the reviews on here and seeing the confidence in the product, it was an easy choice for me to grab a set. I doubt the 100g difference will make any difference and the hubs sound like they wont be too different in performance from the top notch Dura's.

Very keen to see how they go!!
