This notion of fantastic protection abilities of a helmet is almost unique to this country.russellgarrard wrote:I'm shocked at the fact he isn't even wearing a helmet, maybe he finds a nice tall palm tree somewhere, stops against it then slides down?
A fall is going to be bad regardless of a helmet. A fall striking the head is likely to be severe regardless of a helmet. It is far better not to fall in the first place! In the even of a fall protecting your head with your limbs is FAR preferable to a helmet.
Helmets are not very good protection.

Uhh... I'm not an idiot! I don't think they have fantastic protection abilities, I just think any incident that occurs is going to be less severe, that's all... you know, just in case he rides into a low-lying bridge!human909 wrote:This notion of fantastic protection abilities of a helmet is almost unique to this country.russellgarrard wrote:I'm shocked at the fact he isn't even wearing a helmet, maybe he finds a nice tall palm tree somewhere, stops against it then slides down?

Probably would've needed a great deal more speed though.
Hit me up via the BNA dm; I'll get an alert. If y'know, you know.

Here was I pitching myself head-first at the ground during a fall because I thought the helmet would be the best point for first impact. Come to think of it, it does give me a headache and sore neck after, I think you're onto something...human909 wrote:This notion of fantastic protection abilities of a helmet is almost unique to this country.russellgarrard wrote:I'm shocked at the fact he isn't even wearing a helmet, maybe he finds a nice tall palm tree somewhere, stops against it then slides down?

Absolutely right! And when you buy a helmet you should ask for a sense of humour with a side-serve of irony to go with it.human909 wrote:This notion of fantastic protection abilities of a helmet is almost unique to this country.russellgarrard wrote:I'm shocked at the fact he isn't even wearing a helmet, maybe he finds a nice tall palm tree somewhere, stops against it then slides down?
