No question! Taking the weekend off, won't be back on the horse till Tuesday.

The early starts wear a bit thin unless I take every second or third Sunday off :D weak, I know!

Good work by the way.

Finally got my first ride in for the month of May. I managed 136km and 2175m of ascent.

I am very pleased.

Hopefully, depending on how I pull up, I might be able to add another 1000m tomorrow.

Interestingly Strava has deleted all the descents that are on the ride.

Well, I may not be doing huge climbing like others, but I am now over halfway to my total and its only May...I am happy, especially since 99% of my figures are simply from commuting to and from work each day

I was looking through my profile of people I follow this morning.

A friend of mine is up to 181500m of ascent over 6200km for the year so far.

90% of that is on the mountain bike. :o

It's been over a week since the last post, where are all the climbers???

I haven't been able to do some decent riding for quite a few weeks and it will be one or two more weekends before I can hit the climbs for a good smash. I need some tales about the steep stuff so I can live vicariously through them.

In good news, I am moving up into the hills here in Adelaide. My daily commute will be 40km total and the return trip is somewhere between 400-500m.

So that's 200km and 2000m free every week, right now I'm be getting 60km and 300m for the week.

Stoked!

@sss - good work!

@boss - you are a true hard man, picking new digs based on preferred riding terrain and ensuring that the ride home will never be 'casual' - nice work. Does this mean bye bye BMX commute?

Yep bye bye BMX commute. Still might ride it down the hill one day a week and catch a train home. Riding home on a BMX... Doable but very tough.

But I didn't pick the new joint just on terrain... I've been wanting to move into the hills for a long time now... Wasn't planning on making a move for about a year, but the right (read: perfect) place came up at the right price. So offer in, accepted and now it's time to put our unit on the market.

I did a race sunday that gave me 63km and 0m vertical. Guess that's what they call a flat race.

Cracked 100,000m this morning without realising.

Haven't been riding as much lately but have been able to hobble together 250-ish weeks anyway.

^ I bet it bloody does!.
This weekend it is all i can do to stay awake!... Might ( big might ) try and do some climbing this week, cold weather is wearing me down... Today I preferred a nanny nap to a ride ( mothers day today, wifey gave me stick for 30 min nap whereas a 90 minute ride would have been fine ... :-) )

Only 335km and 6800m for me :(

Big 110km/3500m yesterday though, was pretty happy with that.

Put in 700+ over 40 this morning - upper kedron, camp mountain, eatons crossing. Lovely morning. 39/23 was probably the wrong choice, though.

Turned over just shy of 2500m yesterday in around 72kms. Mind you, first time I have corrected my elevation on Strava. Garmin said 1965m for the effort so perhaps I've been selling myself short all this time  Kinda feels like cheating though as who knows how many metres it truly was.

I think I'll stick to non-corrected from this point though given, as others have said, at least it may be consistently inconsistent if at all.
