Tyre inflation expert: Unless your tube has a puncture, a bicycle pump, in good working condition, will inflate a flat tyre. The tube's valve will also need to be in good working condition. As to whether the tyre will achieve proper working pressure will depend on the maximum output of the pump used and the strength of the pumper.

In my expert opinion, if you're not achieving inflation and the conditions set out above are in order, give bicycle ownership away.

Yes - and in your example "you're" should be "your".

FWIW, I have "it's" autocorrected to "its" on iPhone to avoid annoying possessive pronoun typos. No excuse though, granted.
