IMPORTANT MESSAGE - PLEASE READ AND SHARE!!
This message comes from our club member, ..... ....., who was attacked on the fwy path this morning.
"Warning to all female cyclists training along the freeway bike path south from cockburn central. This morning i was attacked by a masked man on a trail motorbike whist cycling on the bike path. Thankfully i was not hurt but very shaken as he grabbed me from behind almost knocking me off my bike. This man had been doing laps of this part of the cycle path. I managed to cycle to the safety of some pedestrians who helped me contact police. Please everybody be careful and always ride with a partner. Although it was a Saturday morning with heaps of cyclists and pedestrians about it didn't stop this predator.
Keep safe"

What time was this?
i ride this section on my way to work (around 5:00am) in the mornings occasionally. I was going to ride this morning but didnt because accidentally slept in.
I'll make sure i keep an eye out for the person.

Has this been reported to or in the press?

Oh my - I often ride alone from Rockingham to the city and this has crossed my mind but I thought with other cyclists using the path I'd be relatively safe. Bugger

With respect to the intent of the original poster this rates as an URBAN MYTH until someone can come up with some substantiation.Thoglette wrote:Has this been reported to or in the press?
It would at least rate a mention in the local newspaper and you'd think that perthnow or similar would be all over it.
Again, can anyone substantiate the original claim? It is a very serious claim.

As I mentioned in the 1st post, I had it shared by a friend on FB and to me, it was worthwhile to share it on here.
