Cheers Robert... lots of pools in every hotel, the last hotel had an indoor ocean, but too cold to swim!.
No sign of your derailleur yet btw.

I would be the same. It takes me forever to dribble a couple of drops out for screening at work. Yet as soon as I walk out of the screening clinic I go to a public toilet a piss like a fountain

One of our guys must have pee'd 6 times during the final stage, much like the TDF they cruised until the finishing circuits were reached. Probably why he had nothing left! . Unlike peeing anywhere you like in France, in Muslim countries they were quite strict with were you could go... there were a few fines handed out!.

Bloody hard work this soigneur gig though... 10 eighteen hour days in a row :| .
Good to read you are still living the dream, even if it involves a little bit of hard work in return!

Love the photos too.

Here's a video for you FT ... I filmed it, Sim ( one of the riders ) put it together.
Hopefully he will do another couple as there was some fun footage from the other stages too.

Quite an escape, but a pretty solid parcours on that rider. His legs looked fried at the end.

What is a grit scooter?

Yeah I don't think many knew it was going to be such a hard stage, there was hardly any flat ground anywhere. But Mathieu is a pretty solid ex-pro... after 4 Giros it can't be that bad  .
Grit Scooter... no idea, one of those stunt Razor type things... must be a sponsor.

really good stuff. What an escape. He seems so laid back. It never ceases to amaze me how these guys can stay away for that long. I struggle to get off the front of B grade Vets for more than a kilo. :D

He was relaxed but suffering bad... Soon as he tried to put down a little extra power he started cramping... But he also totally exploded the race. There were 2 riders 7 minutes behind... Then there was a chase group of about 15 (with two of ours in ) about 12 minutes down... After that most finished 40 minutes down.
It meant that for the next eight days we only really had to mark less than 10 riders... The rest we could give 20 minutes to in a breakaway!...So in the end 2nd and 3rd place started protecting their places... Which was lucky as by the end the rest of the boys were destroyed from protecting the yellow.
Certainly made for an exciting 10 days :-)

I wish. At Ken Dinnerval on Sunday, the other side of the road would of been so useful
