Early 80's(?) Tandem frame 531 Tandem tubing - 5kg

As far as I can tell it is a custom build by Pete Corbin from Sydney. Forgot to weigh the forks - sorry. They are also 531 Tandem tubing. The previous owner reckons that it was 1996 however the 126mm rear spacing and the top of BB cable guides suggest otherwise to me. Possibly NOS at the time.

Cheers,

Cameron

Rebuilding the tamari. 56 square steel frame - 1823g. Fork 647g. That's a 2470g frameset. Did I mention its steel?

I'll post a 'how to weigh your frame and fork' guide in The Shed soon.

1994 Scott AFD 501, Tange Prestige oversize tubing, 58.5cm ST 56cm TT.

2055.6 grams (feels very light, that was surprising).

The forks were branded 'SRPR cromo 760 gr' and the steerer stamping shows it was made by Spinner (known for MTB forks). They actually came in at 732.8 grams.

Troll land :)

It's a lovely frame, I can't decide whether I'm brave enough to ride it around with 130mm hub jammed in or find a 126mm 8 speed setup.
I've read due to the heat treating 753 can crack when you jam 130mm in 126 stays and ride it around for a prolonged time. But I've seen no evidence yet and that's probably one persons opinion that has been copied and pasted over and over in internet forum land..
Anyway, back on topic!

1980's Hendry custom built 57cm sq - don't know what tubing as it was given to me when I was volunteering at a community bike workshop. All I know is it's double/triple butted, has Zeus 2000 dropouts and takes a 27.0 seatpost which took a while to find.
frame: 1,950g
fork: 675g
= 2,625g

this was earlier tonight as fixed
