Just remember the mantra - it's worth "$50-$150" :D

Take a few photos if you do spot anything interesting, for the interstate intrigued.
My dad's partner has a family property near Castlemaine with a few barns apparently 'full of bikes'. I think I'd prefer to hold onto the dream of what might be in there rather than go and have a look.

Finding a Rene Herse Tandem would certainly be the Barn find of the century in rural Vic. "I'll just take that piece of old junk off your hands for nothing...."

Sell it on ebay for $10000 :)

Apollo Caves Beach

Apollo Central Coast

When I looked at the Cavwes Beach link here, gumtree suggested looking at the other, so I did. Look to me to be the same bike from two different locations (but the same fence) and two quite different prices. WT? :?

Maybe the vendor knows that a photo of the non drive side won't command the same interest and thus it was priced accordingly.

I wonder if this started life as a Europa?

Gosford way - and might have a few decent parts on it.

On Watch, and do-able from here (live at the start of the F3 freeway). Looks interesting, for sure.
Well, no, it's not a pushbike, otherwise I'd be pushing it...

Nah it looks like a mix of parts, Suntour Cyclone cranks, Shimano 600 SIS rear derailleur, can't make out the rest. Looks like a bitsa.

Looks like getting the seatpost out could be a barrel of laughs...

There are ways...

But one would hope that needing to use such ways would have a significant impact on the price one would have to pay for the frame.

I'd be somewhat interested in it for the current price... but there might still be some bids left to come, which would really start to test the value equation... for an unknown frame with stuck seatpost (in about my size...dammit!)

How about this for a cheap CX conversion:

Great set of photos of a set of Colnago stickers. Looks like a cheaper fork crown than you'd expect. No pics of the seat stay tops. Hard to see any pictorial detail of any parts of the groupset, and no text detail given. No pic of bottom bracket underside. Overall notmuch enthusiasmshown by vendor in proving authenticity.

I can confirm that those are genuine fake Colnago decals from the late 80's.
Sold a bunch of them back in the day to blokes respraying repco travellers etc.

Totally real, all the best Colnagos had SunTour dropouts :) .

All that aside, it is a really good looking bike, i'd buy it if it was my size and $500 less :) .
