Huggiebear, I rummaged around the shed, I only have some garbage deraileurs which arent worth the post , I recently bought a new shimano tiagra rear deraileur for $55 that was on a web special....cant fault it for the price and it looks retro-ish.huggiebear wrote:i need gear sets (derailer etc) apart from that i think tyres tubes and a nicer seat lol

Like the blue connectors. Very TRON. Dislike the hacked off hanger (unless of course it had one of those godforsaken bolt-on derailleurs). Clearances like that deserve guards, racks and randonneurs and long roadtrips with chianti in the panniers. But, as you said in the Peugeot thread, they're hardly special frames, and being converted is infinitely preferable to it being chucked in landfill. All risers though - curious. Not a fan of drops?

It's a stamped dropout. High chance it had a bolt-on. Either way, who cares. He saved it from the tip, and make it look cool!Dan wrote:Dislike the hacked off hanger

Is the Concorde frame Tange no stickers evident?? (Appears to have CroMo on the circular sticker on the fork).
=>> The Apollo Concorde appears to be a slightly lower and earlier component spec with slacker angle on seat tube (more clearance between rear tyre & seat tube) than the Apollo Team.
Team = 580 TT, 625 ST, 865 Standover Height, 260 BBH, 1020 FAxle to RAxle.
The sticker on the frame just says CrMo Race Geometry, wheel base is 1020 so not super short.
Bike is black with uncrown ugliness & looks very similar to the Concorde above BUT has no mudguard mounts on fork tips or rack mounts on the rear frame tips + has rear drop out adjuster screws. The Apollo and Team stickers are poxy mozaic of fluro pink, fluro green and fluro blue. Spec is full Shimano 105 with dual pivot brakes so thinking 1992ish as opposed to the Concorde at 1990ish
Anyone know if the Apollo Team frame was "019"?
Anyone have a 1990-1992 Cat scan they are willing to trade that shows the Apollo Team?

I've been meaning for some time to arrange Apollo decals (among others) with my local signwriter who has done a few for me in the past. If you don't get anywhere with the people on the bmx forum i'll look at starting a similar thread on here and get something underway.

Ive used a local signwritter in Canberra to reproduce the 1979-1984 decals, not too bad, but jeeeez hes slooooow
I contacted Cyclomondo last week and he asked me if I had any artwork to pass on for Apollos, I suppose I have some leftover decals I could give him..
The apollo decals (jpeg file) from Lix are very good, but I feel Id be breaching her copyright if I passed them on, do you guys agree ?

If there's anyone who would have a legitimate reason to do anything, it would be Apollo themselves, and from their response to a query I sent a year or two ago, they don't seem to care.
