Definitely wouldn't have gone for $470 if I was selling it   .
Have to put it down to the Fitzroy/inner city trendoid co-efficient; plus the dazzling baby blue finish, I guess. :|
Also it's small, very hard to find, just ask my wife....

Gosford way - and might have a few decent parts on it.

Hope someone in the Hunter/L. Macq. area got it. Would have been a bit of a drive to pick up, even from Hornsby, so didn't go too far. If so, dead curious as to what's on it, and whether the frame's gas pipe. :|
Hi Frailer5,

It's Ok but a bitza as pointed out by TedDancin:
  • Suntour Cyclone cranks, mixture of 105 and 600 pieces.
  • Cinneli bars and stem.
  • Campagnolo Lambda Strada V wheels and Dura Ace hubs.
But the frame! It's a mess paint wise so no idea what it is. It seems to be on par, build wise, with my Paino - might even be a bit lighter. The only thing I can see, underneath the multiple coats of spray, brush paint and overspray on everything is an orange/silver checkerboard pattern on the top tube.

Cheers,

Mark S.

Well, no, it's not a pushbike, otherwise I'd be pushing it...

Thanks for the tip. After a bit of scraping it doesn't quite look like anything I can find on google. A pic of the checkerboard and the only decal I have been able to find:

Looks like part of an Oria decal set:

Keep going. Could turn out OK.

Nice spotting. All stars would have aligned if it weren't for frame size. Once again, someone with zero camera skills. Probably priced about right where it is now (3x12). Stem shifters and squeezies.
A 3rd party pic, about 10 down. Similar vintage, by the looks. Is that a Huret RD? Hard to tell, but looks non-slant-parallelogram; odd jockey-wheel cage. :| Someone will know. Idle curiosity while I kill a few minutes. :)

1985 Fuji Sagres, as per catalogue specs, aside from the Nitto stem. Worth the price of admission alone I'd reckon. Definitely no gaspipe porker, even with the 27" wheels and assorted bike boom parts. Should clean up good to tow the trail-a-bike I bought as well for my youngest.

Bugger. Dropped into LBS at lunchtime to see if they still had pink speedplays going cheap. That convinced me to grab the Shogun, but alas I snoozed so I losed :(

Yeah I know.... If it had been a little closer I would have grabbed it regardless. Probably not a bad thing I missed it, kinda hard to hide a hot pink bike from GLW

Thank you, Jim as well. The spray and brush paint is coming off quite well, another couple of hours should see it done. It rides nice so It' will be a keeper after a bit of work:-)

Only other decal is on top of the seat tube:

Sorry about the pic quality, my phone doesn't like closeups.

Thanks again.
