This has nothing to do with retro bikes but everything to do with an eBay listing hence my post here. There is a positive swarm of really cheap electric bikes being advertised on eBay. I've reported them as being probably fraudulent and ebay has deleted some of the advertisements. For more details see my post on the Electric Bike Forum.
It would not be at all strange if history came to the conclusion that the perfection of the bicycle was the greatest achievement of the nineteenth century.

Naw, I'll get it cleaned up so there is some chance of a positive id and set up a new thread with decent pics.

Thanks again.

Very nice 54cm in Melb. 'burbs. I guess builders accessed a variety of lug stock in the day, but those lugs are the same, by the looks, as my Keith Davis Pegasus.
Not stupidly priced, like some I saw on this trawl.
---> rethink. Should have started a bit lower, really. Unknown frame, though looks nice. UKAI rims nothing out of the ordinary, correct? Though the UKAis I had on the Viscount, back when..., were sturdy.
Well, no, it's not a pushbike, otherwise I'd be pushing it...

Couple of Repco Eurosport Tri-A's in SA and WA.

SA: http://www.gumtree.com.au/s-ad/ingle-fa ... 1019536576" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

WA: http://www.gumtree.com.au/s-ad/south-gu ... 1019287383" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;

Interesting how different the listing and prices are. $150 worth of labour? Probably more, depends how much you value your own time I guess. Not my cup of tea, but some might be keen.

even with those photos I think you can see the fork is completely borked, and possibly the frame too. I guess you spotted that?

I've missed plenty of great MTB's in NSW; classics with the U brake behind the BB.

Hampton is only about 5 mins from my work so if any interstaters feel like bidding, I can pickup and pack...
