There might be 2 sides to this, there is no bike lane there so unless the car has turned left from the middle lane or hit the bike from behind I'm finding it hard to picture all this. Doesn't excuse somebody from driving off after hitting a person.
Someone was killed just below the bottom of the 1:20 on the weekend.

Have read that the 4WD never gave way to the cyclist.

This actually concerns me, mainly because I have ridden up and down that road quiet a number of times. For that area it doesn't matter whether your local or not. The sheer number of cyclists on that road on the weekends should make any driver more aware that they are around.danny the boy wrote: Someone was killed just below the bottom of the 1:20 on the weekend.

I'm sure they are more aware, just like the motorists using Beach Rd between St Kilda and Mordialloc. I commuted along Beach Rd for 18 months, and have seen more than enough of the hostile attitude of motorists there, so greater awareness doesn't imply greater consideration and respect.marty_one wrote:This actually concerns me, mainly because I have ridden up and down that road quiet a number of times.
