I (used to) ride that segment regularly at night when doing river loop and have seen the victim sleeping there for over a year now... How disgusting!!!!
So that segment has seen two nut cases this year. Just a couple of months ago we had a guy who shoulder charged a cyclist off their bike!!!
Will be avoiding that segment until the culprit is found.
Might be avoiding all bike paths at night until this person is found...

At least in Australia they only have a bow and arrow.
In America, they would have a gun and shoot 10 people.
In Iraq they would have a bomb that kills 50.
I long for the good old days when the worst a freak could do was throw a stick at you.

Correct me if I'm wrong but not long ago some teens bashed someone walking/cyclist heading through there as well.
I've seen that bloke there most times that I head through. Its sad to think that someone would shoot him with an arrow while he was sleeping.

An arrow fired into the stomach of a sleeping homeless man has led Brisbane police to his alleged attacker.
A 35-year-old man has been charged with attempted murder over the attack on an innercity bikeway on Sunday night.
It’s alleged he rode past his 51-year-old victim, who was sleeping beside the bikeway, but returned minutes later to shoot him.
The man will face the Brisbane Magistrates Court on Friday.
Police told reporters they used the arrow taken from the stomach of the victim, who is recovering in hospital, to track down the alleged offender.
"Officers took the arrow that was used back to the suppliers in Brisbane and tracked the offender from there," a police spokesman said.
A search warrant was executed on an Auchenflower property on Thursday and the man was arrested.
Officers allege they found the bow used in the attack at the scene, along with arrows and a bicycle.
